– مقارنة الصفات القصيرة ( الصفة القصيرة هي التي تتكون من مقطع واحد )– يضاف للصفة er يليها than ثم الاسم المقارن به وغالبا مايكون على وزن ( أفعل )الشكل : subject verb short adjective er than
- My house is larger than hers
- This box is smaller than the one I lost
- Your dog runs faster than Jim’s dog
- The rock flew higher than the roof
مقارنة الصفات الطويلةالصفات الطويلة هي الصفات التي تتكون من أكثر من مقطع مثل ( beautiful )ويكون شكلها في المقارنة كالتالي :subject verb more long adjective than
- Heba is more beautiful than Haya
- this cellphone is more expensive than my cellphone
- this level is more difficult than the beginner level
- this movie is more interesting than other movies
التفضيل Superlative
الصفات القصيرة في التفضيل تكون على وزن أفعليتكون أسلوب التفضيل من :subject verb the short adjective est
- she is the nicest teacher in the school
- my brother is the tallest in our family
- Ahmed is the tallest boy in the class
التفضيل superlative في الصفات الطويلةاستخدام اسلوب التفضيل في الصفات الطويلة ( تتكون من أكثر من مقطع )بمعنى الافضل على الاطلاق ويكون كالتالي :subject verb the most long adjective/ adverb
- Heba is the most beautiful girl in the university
- this iphone is the most expensive one in the store

- Subject (Noun) Verb The Adjective Object (Noun)
- إذا كانت صفتك قصيرة ، أي أنها تحتوي على مقطع لفظي واحد ، يأتي “-est” في نهاية الصفة.

- إذا كانت صفتك طويلة ، أي أنها تحتوي على مقطعين أو أكثر ، فإن الصفة لا تضيف إليها ، فكلمة most تأتي قبل الصفة.
